Students have been exploring blending techniques. Today we are using chalk pastels to create poppy art.
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! There are some important dates coming up this week.
Friday October 30 - science test and ORANGE AND BLACK DAY
Please return the interview sheets ASAP. Interviews happen via phone call or Google Meet on November 5 and November 6.
Math - we are starting to work with decimals and focusing on comparing decimals, equivalent decimals and representing decimals using base ten blocks.
Language - We are reading a text called, "Living A Healthy Lifestyle" for our shared reading. We are discussing and identifying describing words so we can bump up our writing.
Science - Students are finishing their unit on Human Organs
Health - We are continuing to study about Healthy Eating

Each student received a deck of cards from me. These cards will be used during math activities to reinforce concepts being taught. This week, students were using the cards to play against another students to create the biggest number possible using their 4,5, or 6 cards. This reinforced that the biggest number needed to go first and students had to remember what each number represented (ones, tens, hundreds, thousands).
